Hard Week, Conclusion

This past week, I scrambled and got a new host for my website. I learned more techie things about pointing domains to servers and such than I ever thought possible... Things are more or less back to normal and most of the links to my website have been "adjusted". In the next couple of weeks, there will be more technical heavy lifting, updating the website and all.

I am immensely grateful to all the people I contacted for their willingness to help out, and update their links. It's annoying.

This week, the people who bought my previous domain name (the old www.studioandree.com) and tried to sell it back to me had the chutzpah to copy some of my website files onto their -now- domain.

I couldn't figure out the point of doing that... And neither could some of the savvy people I asked... Maybe it makes that domain name more marketable for the pirates, because it's got content rather than a blank page and draws the web crawlers, and better rankings... Anyway, after I warned them that they were venturing into copyright infringement, they took my copied files down. A big thank you goes out to the people who advised me on how to proceed. They know who they are.

And now, I return to the studio, to play with fabric
